I'm Erika-Joelle Roncal-Schuyler, but you can call me Erika, EJ, or Erielle. 🌟 I'm not your average Software Engineer; I'm a dynamic blend of technical prowess, empathy, and a dash of innovation.

🎓 My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. I then embarked on a unique path into the world of Human Resources, where I spent over five years honing my skills in HR and Recruiting. However, the real adventure began when I decided to take my long-standing HTML, CSS, and Javascript hobby to the next level by enrolling in General Assembly's Software Development program. Transitioning from a seasoned HR professional to a Software Engineer was challenging and exhilarating.

💪🏼 As a dedicated Filipina and Navy wife, I've learned the art of adaptability and resilience. These qualities seamlessly transfer into my role as a Software Engineer, where I craft solutions that meet industry standards and resonate profoundly with users.

🚀 Driven by a passion for creating a positive social impact, I focus on innovative solutions rooted in tradition. My extensive HR background, which includes implementing mentorship programs and full-cycle recruiting and interviews, has enabled me to understand people's needs at a profound level, translating this understanding into user-centric software.

🌐 But I'm not stopping here. I'm eager to venture into Front-End Development, QA Analysis, and Solutions Engineering and explore other exciting opportunities within the Human Resources community that require my skillset.
